I am sitting here in wonder. My brother has never heard of the song “Let It Go”. He’s firmly refusing to believe it’s famous. I’m refusing to believe that he hasn’t heard it. I’ve sung it for him in English, French and Dutch (that’s how I roll). Very reluctantly, he has conceded that the fact that the version he looked at on YouTube has 450 million likes might mean that some other people are aware of this obscure number.

We have shielded our own little gurl from Frozen. Largely because if she saw it she would probably want to wear a blue dress like the princess in it (and so many other girls). I also object to the fact that every female hero in a children’s film has to be a princess. Surely royalty should be as discouraged as child labour. And, if Let it Go isn’t an obscure song, it should be. (Bah humbug.)

MT, I have to tell you that the Princesses are coming; you can run but you can’t hide.

I’ve never heard of it either, no kids and no great love of Disney films. I’m still not over what they did to Winnie the Pooh.
The YouTube video with 497,661,884 views is playing on my phone as I type, a bit of an ear worm. I imagine I’ll be stomping around the house singing it to myself later. Thanks.

Thalie, I like to think of myself as bringing happiness wherever I go.
