I am cross with Disney. Everywhere I go, I am pelted with Princess tat. I can’t walk more than a few steps in the supermarket without seeing Princess biscuits, dresses, t-shirts, underwear, games, books, toys, cakes. You name it, the Princesses have sponsored it.
I would like to buy the DVD of Snow White for my daughter. Yes, hand over cash for a Disney item but I cannot because all of their DVDs (except rubbish like Tinkerbell II the voyage to pixie land) are released on a strict rota about once every ten years for reasons I don’t quite understand but, by gum, it is annoying. I see that Snow White is not scheduled for release at the moment but I can ask them to email me when it is. Probably it will be available in 10 years time when the Princess will be 14. Is there something wrong with our money?

the disney emporium is evil – agreed – but not omnipotent. may i suggest ebay or amazon.com? i am sure you’ll find a copy of SW there. even if it is a used one, at least she’ll be able to enjoy it before her 14th bday…

You’d be surprised. The fact that they are released so rarely makes them alarmingly pricey second hand and, not available at all on Amazon, I promise. See, they are, actually, all powerful.

*Cough* Bit torrent *cough* Pirate Bay *cough*

We’ve got a CEX and Cash Converter in our town, they both do 2nd hand videos*/DVDs. I’ll have a look next time I’m there.
Is Video any good to you in these modern times?
Katie says
They aren’t THAT much on ebay, but I’d say Bit torrent too.

Thank you Cha0tic, most kind though video thingy has died and is, apparently, irreplaceable. I regard piracy suggestions with utmost horror etc. Also ignorance is a problem.

Piracy? You mis-understand me. I was just clearing my throat. It must have just sounded like words to your ear used to hearing Flemish š

Crazy! I just last week bought the Snow White DVD on ebay for our daughter’s 4th birthday. $37 US is too much, but, like you say, will she care for it at 14?

There are usually 2 or 3 videos of any Disney film in the local charity shop for 50p each. it may be cheaper to buy a video player on ebay and then I will send you the videos for 50p!

GPM, most kind, would be interested, if you see anything.
